Air King Filtration, Inc. was originally founded in 1978 as Iowa Distributing Co., a distributor of a wide variety of products in the Midwest. Shortly thereafter the first Air King units were developed as the result of ideas shared amongst other business contacts that identified the need for a low cost, high quality option for industrial air cleaners for a variety of end applications. Seeing the demand for this product increase in its’ first few years of existence the decision was made to focus solely on the design and production of air cleaners going forward. Since that time, Air King has become a widely recognized name in the industry throughout the United States and Canada.

Produced in the heart of the Midwest, Cedar Falls, IA, we understand what it means to not only produce a quality product at a good value, but also stand behind that product with solid customer service. With more than 20,000 units produced since our inception, our loyal customers have shown that there is no substitute for our Air King product that is proudly Made in the USA.

Since taking over the business in 2012, owners Brett and Jennifer Tjaden have committed to not settling for the status quo, but re-evaluating the business on all fronts. Ongoing product re-design and improvements, increased employee involvement, added quality control processes, and better accessibility to our customers have resulted in increased customer satisfaction, higher quality build standards, and overall business growth.

Having doubled the size of our facility in 2015, we again doubled our facility size in the summer of 2020, expanding into a new, nearly 20,000 sq. ft. dedicated facility. This expansion will allow us to be of greater service to our customers on all fronts, now and in the coming years.
